ATLANTIC CITY — Authorities are investigating the death of a 41-year-old woman who was found unresponsive early Wednesday morning inside a hotel room at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City.
Atlantic City police received a 911 call at approximately 4:47 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, reporting an unresponsive woman inside a room at the casino hotel, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police officers and emergency medical personnel responded and found the woman deceased.
The woman’s body was taken to the New Jersey Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, where an autopsy is pending.
Authorities have not released the woman’s identity or disclosed any information about what may have led to her death.
The circumstances surrounding the death are being jointly investigated by the Atlantic City Police Department and Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
No additional details were immediately released, and authorities have not characterized the death as a homicide or indicated whether foul play is suspected.
The investigation remains ongoing.
