The sudden death of All Elite Wrestling star PAC remains unexplained more than a week after he was discovered unresponsive in a suburban Chicago parking lot, and newly released records from the City of Des Plaines have done little to resolve the mystery.
PAC, whose legal name was Benjamin Satterley, was found inside his car in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, on Sept. 27, according to TMZ. The 40-year-old had competed in Chicago just hours earlier.
Customers at the restaurant noticed the wrestler in his vehicle at approximately 4 PM and dialed 911, TMZ reported. Witnesses described a frantic effort by people inside the establishment to locate medical equipment before emergency responders arrived. PAC was pronounced dead at 4:08 PM.
The death followed a high-profile appearance the previous night at AEW's All Out event in Chicago, where PAC faced Andrade and later appeared during the main event, according to TMZ.
Des Plaines police told TMZ that they found no signs of foul play and do not consider the death suspicious. An autopsy was conducted, but the Cook County Medical Examiner said the cause and manner of death are pending additional testing.
TMZ sought public records related to the death, but the city has withheld some of the material. As a result, the circumstances surrounding PAC's death remain unclear.
