Angie Katsanevas of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City marked Halloween alongside estranged husband Shawn Trujillo, appearing in coordinated costumes with the couple's 15-year-old daughter, Elektra, according to an Instagram post published on Saturday, October 31.
Katsanevas, 52, captioned the post "My Crüe" and "Happy Halloween," tagging the family's look with "#MötleyCrüe." The trio dressed as members of the heavy metal band, including Tommy Lee. Trujillo is 53.
The holiday gathering arrived nearly four months after reports of the couple's separation surfaced in July. Katsanevas and Trujillo had been married for 27 years, according to reports at the time.
Katsanevas addressed the split publicly in September while promoting season 7 of RHOSLC, telling Us Weekly that she had previously kept quiet about personal difficulties in order to support others. She said she has since become more open about her circumstances, though she acknowledged that doing so can be more difficult while she works to be present for her daughter.
The Bravo personality described herself as being in "self-preservation mode," telling Us Weekly, "I want to be a great friend to everyone. But my No. 1 priority is my daughter making sure that she knows I'm there."
Katsanevas also detailed how she spent the summer after production on RHOSLC wrapped, describing daily routines built around her daughter's equestrian training. "We spent every day together from, you know, waking up at 4:30 to go to lessons for her horse — she's an equestrian, as you know — and then we go to Pilates and we go swimming, we do activities," she told Us Weekly. "So I filled my entire summer when we wrapped [RHOSLC] with spending every waking minute with my daughter."
She characterized motherhood as the "most important role" in her life. "You don't have as much time to sit on the phone or spend time with friends. But this is very important to me right now with what's going on in my life," she told Us Weekly. "Is just showing up for her, letting her know that I'm here and to feel safe and that my mom's by my side."
The Halloween post offered a public glimpse of the family together as Katsanevas continues to navigate the separation. For viewers of RHOSLC, the image arrives as season 7 documents a period in which she has said her daughter remains her foremost concern.
