Ann Altman is asking a judge to dismiss the defamation lawsuit filed against her by her brother, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. In her response, she denies defaming her brother and maintains that her allegations of childhood sexual abuse are accurate.

The court filing addresses Sam Altman's characterization of his sister in the ongoing legal dispute. Ann Altman objects to her brother labeling her as mentally ill, stating that he has slanderously characterized her both in his counterclaim and on social media platforms in an attempt to silence her, according to the documents.

Ann Altman asserts in her filing that she has been diagnosed with PTSD, which she attributes to abuse by Sam Altman during their childhood years.

The court documents also clarify the financial relationship between the siblings. Ann Altman denies that Sam Altman currently provides her with monthly financial support, though she acknowledges receiving financial assistance from him years ago for bills and other expenses. She further states that her brother offered to purchase a home for her, but she declined the offer based on the conditions attached to the gift.

Regarding her social media activity, Ann Altman admits to posting about alleged abuse but contends she never identified Sam Altman by name. Instead, she stated only that she was touched by older siblings. She has requested that the court dismiss his counterclaims against her.

Ann Altman's original allegations claim she was sexually abused by Sam Altman between 1997 and 2006. She alleges the abuse began when she was 3 years old and he was 12.

Sam Altman has categorically denied all allegations of wrongdoing. The billionaire technology executive has stated that various family members support his position in the family dispute. He filed a defamation counterclaim against Ann Altman, seeking only $1 in damages and stating his goal is to establish that her claims are false.
