Anson Williams, known for his role on 'Happy Days,' has been ordered by a judge to pay his former spouse, Jackie Williams, a total of $40,181.04, along with an additional $7,500 payable directly to her attorney. The combined obligation approaches $48,000, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.com.
The order, issued in connection with the former couple's divorce proceedings, sets a firm deadline: Anson Williams must satisfy the full amount by 5 PM on November 2. The ruling follows a hearing on October 1 that Anson Williams did not attend, and court records indicate he did not file a response to Jackie Williams's claims.
The judgment addresses multiple financial items the court determined Anson Williams had failed to cover. These include nearly $18,000 in life insurance premiums, approximately $17,000 related to unauthorized use of company funds, and another $2,000 in payments he made to himself. In addition to the monetary award, the judge directed Anson Williams to transfer 160,214 American Express rewards points to Jackie Williams.
The dispute traces back to August, when Jackie Williams returned to court, alleging that Anson Williams had not met the payment terms outlined in their divorce agreement. She also asserted that he had disregarded her efforts to collect what was owed. The former couple divorced in 2020 after 30 years together, though their financial disagreements have continued beyond the marriage.
The case highlights the enforcement challenges that can arise when divorce settlements are not honored. With the November 2 deadline now set, Anson Williams faces a clear legal mandate to resolve the outstanding obligations or risk further court action.
