Arielle Kebbel, known for her roles in Gilmore Girls and the Yellowstone universe, has opened up about her career and personal life in a candid interview. In an exclusive 25 Things You Don't Know About Me feature with Us Weekly, Kebbel shared insights ranging from her Gilmore Girls reunion hopes to her unusual phobia of toothpaste.
Kebbel, who played Lindsay on Gilmore Girls, reflected on her time on the show. She revealed that her favorite person to hang out with during filming was Jared Padalecki, who introduced her to his friends from Texas when she was new to Los Angeles. She also recalled that the scripts were often 80-something pages and that the requirements to read for her role included being 5-foot-8 or taller and talking fast.
When asked about her hopes for the future, Kebbel expressed a desire to be part of a Gilmore Girls documentary. "I'd love to be a part of the Gilmore Girls doc. It has such a special place in my heart," she told Us Weekly. She also mentioned that she loved the table reads on Gilmore Girls, stating, "I watched the other actors in awe," she told Us Weekly.
Beyond Gilmore Girls, Kebbel discussed her passion for animal rescue. She works closely with Saving Gracie, American Wild Horse Conservation, and Skydog Sanctuary, and she is passionate about wild horses and rescues. She also shared that she collects crystals, vintage jewelry, and, if she could do more right now, animals—specifically horses and donkeys.
Kebbel's bucket list includes a horse safari ride in South Africa and a romantic trip to Greece. She also revealed that her first acting job was a Creed music video when she was 15, which jump-started her career. Her dream collaborators are Chloé Zhao, Sandra Bullock, Steven Spielberg, and James Cameron.
Among the more unusual facts, Kebbel admitted that her only phobia is toothpaste. "Yes, I still brush my teeth, but when I see toothpaste in the sink, I get a gag reflex," she told Us Weekly. She also shared that she filmed a stunt for The Bone Collector on real NYC subway tracks, which she described as both exhilarating and nerve-racking.
Kebbel's favorite karaoke song is "Gangsta's Paradise," a choice she attributes to Brittany Snow while filming John Tucker Must Die. She also quotes anything and everything from Ace Ventura 1 and 2. When it comes to streaming, she watches Apple because it's easy to find everything, Hulu for live TV, and Paramount+ for the Yellowstone universe.
The actress also mentioned that the last show she binged was Furious, and she encouraged others to watch it and talk about it, saying it is about Epstein, Cornell, and every Jane Doe. She looks up to Robert Redford, Jim Carrey, Doris Day, and Maya Angelou, and still does.
For Kebbel, a favorite Saturday is rest, rot, repeat. To decompress after a stressful day, she takes a salt bath, listens to music and dances, or turns on Friends and zones out. She also loves to dance and was on an all-star dance squad that placed fourth at nationals.
Kebbel's favorite Marshals memory involved an equine therapist she has been working with, which she described as a reminder of how powerful TV can be. She also noted that when she hears John Tucker, she immediately thinks of the writer Jeff Lowell, and she expressed sadness over his passing this year.
Fans of Kebbel can look forward to seeing her in future projects, as she feels the performance she is craving to do is waiting in the wings to show itself. For now, she continues to balance her acting career with her advocacy for wild horses and her love for animals.
