Atlantic City Fire Station 2 Gets $4.6M Preservation Boost

Atlantic City's Fire Station 2, a century-old public safety landmark at Indiana and Baltic Avenues, is getting a major facelift. Mayor Marty Small announced significant progress on a $4.6 million preservation project on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

The work will replace windows, doors and the roof, and renovate the kitchen and bathroom. "We are really happy about the changes that you see now and even more excited about the changes that you're going to see inside a nice place to do their job," Mayor Small told 6abc Philadelphia.

The project also includes the official unveiling of a mural titled "The Door That Opened," a tribute to Atlantic City's firefighters. The announcement highlights the city's commitment to preserving its history while investing in the facilities that keep our community safe.
