Atlantic City Ranks Among Top U.S. Cities for Content Creators

Atlantic City has secured a spot among the nation's top destinations for content creators, ranking fourth in a comprehensive new analysis of where digital influencers can best build their careers and social media presence.

The recognition comes from HostingAdvice.com, a digital publication and review platform that examined 529 U.S. cities to determine which locations offer the ideal combination of resources and living conditions for creator-driven businesses. The study evaluated communities based on internet reliability, cost of living, employment opportunities, and creative community strength.

What sets our city apart isn't just the Boardwalk and beaches — it's the unique blend of affordability and opportunity that makes Atlantic City an attractive home base for those building careers on platforms like YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Instagram.

The study found that Atlantic City's tourism-driven economy creates a constant flow of events, festivals, concerts, and entertainment throughout the year. This steady stream of happenings gives content creators an endless supply of social-media-ready material and hashtag-worthy moments to share with their audiences.

Geography plays a crucial role in the city's high ranking. Located just a couple hours' drive from major metropolitan centers like Philadelphia and New York, Atlantic City functions as both a thriving events destination and a strategic launching point for creators who need access to larger markets. This positioning helped the city earn a strong Creative Community score of 39.18 in the analysis.

Perhaps most importantly for creators just starting out, Atlantic City stands apart from other coastal hubs through its financial accessibility. The median gross rent sits at $1,136.00, well below average for coastal cities, making it a financially flexible location for budding content creators who need to stretch their dollars while building their brands.

The city's internet access rate of 81.42% ensures creators have the connectivity needed to upload content, stream live video, and maintain their digital presence — essential infrastructure for anyone making their living online.

The research suggests that the best cities for content creators aren't necessarily the nation's most popular or largest metropolitan areas. Instead, success comes from finding the right balance of resources and living conditions that support digital entrepreneurship.

Atlantic City earned its fourth-place ranking behind Las Vegas, Nevada; West Hollywood, California; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Rounding out the top ten were McAllen, Texas; St. Cloud, Minnesota; Haysville, Kansas; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Jacksonville, North Carolina; and Moline, Illinois.

As the content creation industry continues to evolve and mature, our community's combination of entertainment infrastructure, geographic advantages, and affordable living costs positions Atlantic City as an increasingly attractive option for digital entrepreneurs looking to establish themselves in this growing field.
