A man sought in connection with a September shooting in Miami was arrested Tuesday evening at the South Florida mansion belonging to rapper Trippie Redd, according to the Miami Police Department.
Braveone Jones, 25, was taken into custody around 6 PM at the Southwest Ranches property, police told TMZ. He is accused in connection with a September 15 shooting that occurred outside Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen in Miami, and he now faces two counts of attempted murder.
A spokesperson for the Davie Police Department told TMZ that its officers were present to help carry out the search warrant at the property, while the City of Miami is heading up the investigation.
Online booking records show Jones, who also goes by BalloutDaDon, is being held in a Miami-Dade County case. The records list two firearm-related attempted second-degree murder charges, each carrying a $15,000 bond.
Tuesday's operation drew a heavy law enforcement presence to the $8 million Florida estate. According to TMZ, the agencies involved included Davie Police, Fort Lauderdale Police, Sunrise Police, Broward Sheriff's Office, ATF and Plantation Police SWAT.
At the time of the raid, authorities declined to identify the person they were seeking or disclose what prompted the operation. The investigation remains ongoing.
