Baltimore Concert Assault: Man Charged After Urination Incident

A North Carolina man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault following allegations that he urinated on a family attending a Morgan Wallen concert at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore last month.

Jayson Reed, 33, faces four counts of second-degree assault, public urination, and additional offenses stemming from the incident at the country music concert on Saturday, July 18, according to TMZ, which cited the Maryland Transportation Authority Police. Reed was apprehended in North Carolina and awaits extradition to Maryland to face the charges.

The charges follow a complaint filed by Troy Grevelding, who attended the concert with his wife, brother, and 8-year-old niece. Grevelding alleged that a man seated behind his group exposed himself and urinated during the performance, splashing him and his family members in the process.

In an interview with Fox Baltimore on Monday, July 20, Grevelding described the disturbing sequence of events. He stated that the man had been talking loudly on his phone and repeatedly bumping into him before the alleged incident occurred.

Grevelding told Fox Baltimore that he looked behind him and saw the man had his "genitalia hanging completely out, and he's urinating all over the back of my seat, my wife's leg, my leg, my niece, and he's looking at me, saying, 'It's good, bro. It's good.'"

The victim stated he physically confronted the individual, pushing him back and demanding to know what he was doing. Grevelding documented the aftermath by recording videos of his conversation with authorities at the venue, which he subsequently shared on Facebook.

According to Grevelding's account, police officers at the scene initially indicated they could not make an arrest because they had not personally witnessed the incident. However, the Maryland Transportation Authority Police later confirmed to TMZ that an active criminal investigation was underway.

The department acknowledged awareness of both the incident and the video circulating on social media platforms. The investigation ultimately led to Reed's arrest and the filing of multiple charges.

The incident occurred during Wallen's Still the Problem Tour, which has been making stops at stadiums across the United States. The 33-year-old country singer's tour has encountered other controversies this year, including a June cancellation of a scheduled performance at Pittsburgh's Acrisure Stadium.

Wallen cited forecasted thunderstorms as the reason for that cancellation, stating that safety for fans and crew was the highest priority. However, Pittsburgh Mayor Corey O'Connor disputed the claim that local officials had been consulted, telling KDKA Radio that there had been no contact from Wallen's team to his office or the public safety director.

The Maryland incident highlights ongoing concerns about safety and conduct at large-scale concert venues. The case against Reed remains under investigation as authorities work to complete the extradition process from North Carolina to Maryland.
