Bridget Marquardt believes Jessica Biel should not withdraw from the upcoming Playboy film, even after receiving a direct message from Hugh Hefner's ex-wife urging her to reconsider the role.
Marquardt discussed the digital dispute during an appearance on "The TMZ Podcast" with TMZ's Charlie Neff, telling the outlet that Crystal Harris was seeking attention when she contacted Biel.
According to TMZ, Harris sent a direct message to Biel asking her to rethink playing Hefner's wife in "Playmates." In that message, Harris cited what she described as "troubling concerns regarding minors" and stated that she experienced "sexual, emotional, financial and physical abuse" during her marriage to Hugh.
Marquardt told TMZ that she does not believe the actress should even respond to the message, much less leave the production.
Harris and Hefner married in 2012 and remained together until his death five years later.
Marquardt previously appeared alongside Hefner's other girlfriends, Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson, on the reality series "The Girls Next Door."
TMZ noted that Biel has been cast as Hefner's wife in the forthcoming film, but her character is fictional, meaning she will not be portraying Harris or any of Hefner's other real-life wives specifically.
In Marquardt's view, the message is not something Biel needs to worry about.
