Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, are grieving the death of their daughter Fiona, who was 13 years old. The family confirmed the loss in a statement provided to TMZ on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
"We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona," the family told TMZ.
Chad Lowe and Kim Painter described their daughter as a young girl who was loving, intelligent and creative, with a particular passion for dance. They said she was adored by her sisters and deeply cherished by both of her parents.
The family also referred to Fiona as "the light of our lives," describing her death as devastating for the entire family and requesting prayers and privacy during their time of mourning.
Fiona was born in November 2012 and was one of three daughters born to Chad Lowe and Kim Painter, who have been married since 2010. Chad Lowe is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe.
The death marks the second profound hardship for the family in recent years. Chad Lowe disclosed last year that the family's home was lost in the Pacific Palisades fire, and he subsequently shared images of Fiona and her sisters visiting the site where they had grown up to see what was left.
