Chris Evans Video Helps Bonded Boston Dogs Find Home

A pair of dogs at the Animal Rescue League of Boston who could not be separated have found a new home together, thanks to a boost from Hollywood actor Chris Evans. The shelter had recognized that Greg, a short-haired chihuahua, and Carley, a shaggy golden retriever, shared a bond so strong that they needed to be adopted as a pair.

Evans highlighted the two dogs through a video series called “Dream Date,” produced by The Dodo, which pairs celebrities with shelter dogs awaiting adoption. The series has featured more than 200 entries and has included appearances by Evans’ Avengers co-star Scarlett Johansson, along with Simon Cowell, Matt Damon, and other well-known figures.

During the segment, Evans engaged in games and answered questions about whether he and the dogs shared traits or could form a compatible trio. Most of the interaction involved Carley, as Greg showed little interest in the activities. Evans also spoke about the animals in his own household, including his 10-month-old daughter and his boxer-mix, Dodger, who serves as her protector.

“They’re a bonded pair, which means they have to be adopted together,” Evans said in the video, as reported by Good News Network. “A couple of sweethearts, and I hope someone out there gives them their forever home.”

Following the feature, Greg and Carley were adopted by a couple who have since created an Instagram account, @lifewithgregandcallie, to document their new life. The outcome adds to the “Dream Date” series’ record of helping shelter dogs find permanent homes.
