Clancy Holdout Juror Plans Return to Work

The juror whose refusal to convict produced a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy murder case is preparing to resume his normal routine, his attorney said, roughly a week after the proceedings collapsed.

Michael Desronvil has kept a low profile in the aftermath of the mistrial, according to his lawyer, Edward Andrew Paltzik, who spoke with TMZ. Paltzik told the outlet that his client has been "laying low" since the trial ended without a verdict.

Desronvil works for a property maintenance company, and Paltzik told TMZ that the employer has been supportive throughout what he described as a challenging period. The juror had stepped away from his job but intends to return to work within a week, the attorney said.

In the meantime, Desronvil has been processing the experience, filling his days with church attendance, reading and time with his girlfriend, Paltzik told TMZ. The attorney said his client is eager to get back to a sense of normalcy.

Paltzik told TMZ that Desronvil wants to eventually tell his story, but for now has no plans to speak publicly, because, in the attorney's words, "it's been a lot."

The lawyer added that Desronvil is "incredibly grateful and touched by everyone that has supported him and donated."

According to Paltzik, he and his client have been in contact with Massachusetts State Police and the District Attorney concerning Desronvil's safety.

As TMZ previously reported, Desronvil intends to file a bar complaint against Kevin Reddington, the attorney who represented Lindsay Clancy. Sources told the outlet that Desronvil believed he was singled out in the days following the trial, and he is seeking Reddington's suspension or disbarment.

The developments come after a jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict in the high-profile case, a deadlock that drew intense public attention to the panel and, in particular, to the juror who held out.
