Stodden's outfit consisted of a painted thong and pasties, with an artist having applied images of bird feathers and the vivid hues of a parrot to her body, along with red spots intended to resemble bloodstains. She said the display was meant to ensure people are aware of the conditions Petco's birds face prior to being sold.
This is not the first time Stodden has taken part in a high-profile protest of this kind. Several months ago, she covered herself in black paint as part of a demonstration against the use of leather.
