A civil lawsuit stemming from a chaotic 2023 Halloween party altercation has produced new allegations against internet personality Jack Doherty. In a deposition taken in December, Chase Gardella — the plaintiff suing Doherty and his former bodyguard Kane Kongg — described what he claims set off the fight, according to TMZ.com.
Gardella alleged that Doherty repeatedly pressed influencer Corinna Kopf to appear in a video with him. When she declined, Gardella claimed, Doherty referred to her as an "OnlyFans whore." Gardella said he approached Doherty to confront him over the remark, and Doherty responded, "We're gonna fight, us two versus you two, alright, go," according to the deposition testimony reported by TMZ.com.
Gardella further alleged that Kongg moved toward him and struck him in the face, sending him to the pavement. Video of the encounter circulated years ago and appeared to show a large man — identified as Kongg — landing a blow on Gardella, who was dressed in a costume.
The civil case is set for trial on November 2, though the source material does not specify a year for that date.
Separately, Doherty has faced recent criminal scrutiny. He was charged with domestic violence battery following allegations that he pushed his girlfriend and placed his hands around her neck. People described as sources close to Doherty have disputed those allegations and asserted that he was defending himself.
The deposition testimony adds a new layer to a dispute that has lingered since the October 2023 party. For local readers following the case, the scheduled November 2 trial date will be the next formal opportunity for the allegations to be tested in court.
