Families seeking affordable housing options and homeownership assistance can access valuable resources at an upcoming community workshop in Erma this month.
Tabernacle United Methodist Church, located at 702 Seashore Rd, Erma, NJ, will host a workshop on Saturday, August 15, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM. The free event will feature Emerlee Simmons, a representative from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency.
The New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency works to enhance quality of life across our state by providing financing and facilitating access to affordable rental housing and homeownership opportunities. The agency specifically serves low and moderate-income families, older adults, and individuals with specialized housing needs throughout New Jersey.
Attendees will learn about available programs and resources that could help them achieve homeownership or secure affordable housing. Family Promise is sponsoring the workshop, with Tabernacle serving as host.
Those interested in attending or seeking additional information can reach out via email at bistaksp@gmail.com or by calling 732-850-5453.
The workshop is part of Tabernacle's broader Community Awareness & Support Events series for 2026-27.
