Giant MONOPOLY Wheel Coming to Bally's Atlantic City

Our community's deep connection to the world's most famous board game is about to get even more exciting. Starting tomorrow, Saturday, June 27, 2026, Bally's Atlantic City will host MONOPOLY Live, an immersive game show experience that brings the iconic game to life on the Boardwalk.

The activation features a real, supersized MONOPOLY prize wheel where players can sign up on-site for the chance to spin and win. Select spins may trigger bonus rounds, offering additional opportunities to claim prizes. The experience combines the energy of a live game show with the world of MR. MONOPOLY, creating an interactive adventure that goes beyond traditional casino gaming.

"MONOPOLY Live is one of the most recognizable experiences in live casino, and MONOPOLY Casino is a great way to play it," said Sina Miri, chief commercial officer of Bally's Interactive. "We wanted to create an experience that makes players feel as though they've stepped onto the board. Bringing MONOPOLY Live to the Atlantic City Boardwalk allows guests to move beyond watching the wheel spin and step up to it themselves."

The experience will be available on select summer weekends:

• Saturday, June 27, 2026 and Sunday, June 28, 2026

• Saturday, July 4, 2026 and Sunday, July 5, 2026

• Saturday, July 11, 2026 and Sunday, July 12, 2026

Players will place wagers on where the wheel will land, with outcomes triggering cash prizes, multipliers, or entry into an augmented reality bonus round. The bonus round features a 3D MR. MONOPOLY character moving around the MONOPOLY board collecting rewards, according to Bally's Atlantic City.

The timing couldn't be more fitting. Atlantic City's connection to MONOPOLY runs nearly a century deep, though the game's true origins often go unrecognized. According to MonopolyLand.com, Elizabeth Magie created the original concept in 1903 with a game called "The Landlord's Game," designed to demonstrate the negative consequences of land ownership concentration. Charles Darrow later played "The Landlord's Game," created his own version, and released it as Monopoly in 1933—giving the game its Atlantic City identity that has endured for almost 100 years.

While Darrow receives most of the headlines, it was Magie who invented the game 30 years before him. Her contribution to one of the world's most beloved board games deserves recognition, especially as we celebrate this new interactive experience on our own Boardwalk.

The MONOPOLY Live game show represents the latest evolution of a game that has been adapted into countless themed versions over the decades, from sports teams to pop culture franchises. Now, visitors to our resort city can step directly into the action at The Yard at Bally's Atlantic City, experiencing the thrill of the game in a whole new dimension.
