Gypsy Rose Blanchard is publicly asserting that her partner, Ken Urker, did not die by suicide, according to an update to the anti-cyberbully petition she launched following his death.
In the petition update, Blanchard states that "we do know with 100% certainly that it was not suicide," as reported by TMZ.com on October 22, 2026. The official cause of death is still awaiting toxicology results, but Blanchard expressed confidence that Urker did not take his own life.
Blanchard's statement does not appear to suggest foul play. Instead, she indicates that the cyberbullying Urker endured led him to develop "unhealthy coping strategies" involving drugs and alcohol.
Through the petition, Blanchard is advocating for the creation of "Kenan's Law," named for Urker's legal name, Kenan. The proposed law would implement "pattern-based harassment reporting" for cyberbullying, treating repeated incidents as a connected pattern rather than isolated events.
The petition also calls for several additional measures: requiring that serious and repeated cases receive review by human moderators, preserving reports and evidence, and demanding transparency and accountability from social media platforms.
