Hammonton Walmart Completes Major Renovation and Expansion

Hammonton's Walmart has a fresh new look following an extensive renovation that brings expanded shopping options and a promise of faster service.

The retailer celebrated the completion of major upgrades at its location at 55 South White Horse Pike with an opening ceremony on Wednesday, July 24. The more than 75,000-square-foot store, which first opened its doors in 1995, now features an enhanced shopping environment with broader product selections and improved pickup and delivery capabilities.

The transformation touches nearly every corner of the store. Shoppers will find upgraded beauty, electronics, and fashion departments with expanded brand offerings and interactive merchandise displays designed to make browsing easier. The store layout has been reconfigured for simpler navigation, helping customers find what they need more quickly.

The pharmacy received particular attention during the remodel, now offering privacy screening capabilities along with improved consultation and checkout areas. These changes aim to create a more comfortable experience for customers managing their healthcare needs.

For those who prefer shopping from home or on the go, the store has significantly expanded its online order fulfillment options. Customers can now choose from curbside pickup, fast delivery within 3 hours, or express delivery in as little as 30 minutes for urgent needs.

The Hammonton renovation represents one piece of a larger investment in our region. Walmart is updating 12 stores across New Jersey this year, including a location on Broadway in Pennsville that received similar upgrades in June. Over the past five years, the company has invested $173 million in its New Jersey stores.

These improvements reflect the retailer's commitment to modernizing its facilities and meeting evolving customer expectations for both in-store shopping experiences and convenient fulfillment options. The upgrades position the Hammonton location to better serve our community's needs for years to come.
