Hope Solo Auctioning World Cup Championship Collection

One of the most decorated goalkeepers in soccer history is giving collectors an unprecedented opportunity to acquire championship memorabilia from her illustrious career.

Hope Solo, the former U.S. Women's National Team star widely regarded as the greatest goalkeeper the sport has ever produced, has placed more than 45 items from her personal collection up for auction through Lelands. The sale represents what the auction house characterizes as the most significant women's soccer memorabilia ever offered to the public.

Among the premier offerings are Solo's match-worn, signed, and photo-matched jersey and shorts from the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup final, in which the United States defeated Japan to claim the championship. Her championship ring from that tournament victory is also included in the auction.

Additional items available for bidding include the Golden Glove award Solo received as the tournament's top goalkeeper after allowing just three goals across seven matches. Match-worn jerseys from the quarterfinal victory over China and the semifinal win against Germany are also part of the collection.

"With soccer's popularity in the U.S. reaching new heights around this World Cup, it felt like the right time to let these pieces of my career become part of this sport's history in new hands," Solo told TMZ.com. "I hope whoever adds these pieces to their collections feels the same connection to this game that I have."

Solo's career achievements extend well beyond the 2015 World Cup triumph. She was a member of two Olympic gold medal-winning teams in 2008 and 2012, and she holds the international record for most shutouts by a goalkeeper with 102. The National Soccer Hall of Fame inducted her in 2023.

A portion of the auction proceeds will benefit SheBelongs, a nonprofit organization that uses soccer to create opportunities for young girls.

Bidding opened this weekend and will conclude on Saturday, August 15. The auction provides soccer enthusiasts and memorabilia collectors a rare chance to own authenticated items from one of the sport's most dominant players during a pivotal era for women's soccer in the United States.
