Jax Taylor Accuses Estranged Wife of Wanting Him to Relapse

Reality television star Jax Taylor has submitted court filings accusing his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, of attempting to undermine his sobriety through what he characterizes as deliberately hurtful statements about his career, reputation, and relationship with their son.

According to court documents filed in connection with an ongoing restraining order case, Taylor informed the presiding judge that he has maintained sobriety for nearly two years. In his filing, he alleged that Cartwright "continues to say many insulting things and offensive things to humiliate, intimidate, and scare me, as if she wants to shake me to my core and make me relapse," Taylor told TMZ.com.

The court documents detail specific statements Taylor attributes to Cartwright. "You're never ever going to work again, nobody wants a disgusting abuser drug addict like you, you need to literally go away and never return," Cartwright allegedly told him, according to Taylor's filing with TMZ.com. He claims she added, "Move away."

Taylor's court submission includes additional alleged remarks concerning their child. "Your son doesn't want you. We don't need you in our lives. Everyone is on my side, nobody likes you. You have no friends. The producers have told me they will never work with you again, you're finished," Cartwright purportedly stated, according to the documents reviewed by TMZ.com.

In his filing, Taylor emphasized his commitment to maintaining his recovery and his relationship with his son. He stated that he applied techniques learned during rehabilitation treatment to manage his response to the alleged statements. Taylor expressed that he harbors no intention of causing harm to Cartwright.

"I just want the truth to prevail and for her to stop abusing me and let me live my life in peace," Taylor stated in the court documents, according to TMZ.com.

The allegations surface as both parties have filed separate petitions seeking restraining orders against one another, TMZ.com previously reported.
