Jenny McCarthy Says She Is Living in a Tent During Mold Detox

Jenny McCarthy, 53, has revealed that she is living in a tent as she continues treatment for mold and mycotoxin poisoning, describing the past two years of her life as "absolutely fricking insane" during the Wednesday, October 28 episode of her "Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show" podcast, Celebrity News: Latest Celeb News & Pictures - Us Weekly reported.

The Masked Singer judge traced the ordeal to a toothache that set off a prolonged medical saga. She recounted going down "a rabbit hole of doctors, surgeries, teeth being pulled, mysterious growths popping up in places you are not expecting, implants literally falling out, and eventually realizing my immune system was fighting something so much bigger," she said on the podcast, according to Celebrity News: Latest Celeb News & Pictures - Us Weekly.

Multiple dental visits led to oral surgery, but McCarthy then developed swollen bumps on her eyelid, which was briefly feared to be "a cancer issue." She characterized the sequence of procedures as resembling "a Shakespearean play," joking about what felt like "25,500" surgeries to address the mysterious ailment.

The turning point came only after McCarthy was "going through medical fatigue," when her doctor considered mold exposure. Testing followed, and her physician delivered a stark warning: "Jenny, you've got serious mold. You've got the type of mold that causes seizures. If this thing crosses the blood-brain barrier, I'm going to be talking to you in hospital. You're going to start seizing," McCarthy recounted on the podcast, per Celebrity News: Latest Celeb News & Pictures - Us Weekly.

McCarthy said she was "so desperate to heal" that she relocated into a tent, and she acknowledged lingering environmental concerns, telling the podcast, "I do worry about chemtrails, and also sprinkler," Celebrity News: Latest Celeb News & Pictures - Us Weekly reported.

She indicated that the detoxification process remains ongoing, stating during the episode, "I'm still in my mold detox, you guys. I'm still in it, like, I'm knee-deep in it," and adding, "I'm in month seven of detox and I'm too paranoid to honestly live anywhere else other than a tent," according to Celebrity News: Latest Celeb News & Pictures - Us Weekly.

The disclosure expands on remarks McCarthy made in March about a "toxic" jaw infection and "oozing" eye growths. She has previously described the mystery illness as making her life a "living hell" and has discussed undergoing nine surgeries after the infection led to eye growths and tooth loss.

McCarthy expressed gratitude at having identified the root cause of her symptoms, though she noted that she continues to contend with side effects. The podcast episode marks her most detailed public account to date of the medical journey, which she said has spanned roughly two years.
