Journey's concert at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, came to an abrupt halt on Thursday night after drummer Deen Castronovo suffered a medical emergency onstage and was taken to a hospital, according to TMZ.com.
The incident occurred two songs into the band's set during its 2026 "Final Frontier" tour, forcing the group to pause the performance.
Keyboardist Jonathan Cain addressed the audience shortly after Castronovo left the stage, informing the crowd that the drummer had experienced a medical emergency. Video circulated online shows Cain describing the situation as an "unfortunate situation" and apologizing for the disruption, while asking attendees to keep Castronovo in their prayers, TMZ.com reported.
Guitarist Neal Schon later returned to the stage to confirm that Castronovo had been rushed to a hospital. Schon also announced that drum tech Steve Toomey would fill in for the remainder of the show.
The rest of the band resumed the concert, with singer Arnel Pineda also requesting prayers for Castronovo before continuing the set. At one point during the performance, Schon told the audience that the drummer is going to be "fine," according to TMZ.com.
The band completed the show without further interruption. Castronovo's current condition has not been officially updated beyond Schon's onstage remark.
