Fox News contributor Kennedy has gone public with her account of working alongside Kimberly Guilfoyle at the network, describing her former colleague as a status-driven social climber in a column published Thursday by the Daily Mail.
According to TMZ.com, the column recounts one evening when Kennedy was invited to Guilfoyle's home under the premise that the two would share an Uber to a mutual friend's birthday party. Kennedy wrote that Guilfoyle answered the door in a "black, push-up corset and thigh-high stockings" and asked, "You like what you see?" — remarks recounted in Kennedy's column and reported by TMZ.com.
Kennedy wrote that she responded by complimenting Guilfoyle on being in "great shape," but also described feeling "scared" during the encounter, as though Guilfoyle were attempting to set a trap for her, according to TMZ.com.
The column further claims that Guilfoyle, who spent the years 2006 through 2018 at Fox, told anyone within earshot that the entire network — women included — was smitten with her and desired her romantically, per TMZ.com.
Kennedy also characterized Guilfoyle in the column as a "status-chasing monster" who was perpetually "planning her next move" while moving between relationships with wealthy, accomplished men, naming Gavin Newsom and Donald Trump Jr. among them, TMZ.com reported.
The column arrives during a difficult period for Guilfoyle. She was forced to step down from her ambassadorship to Greece amid misconduct and corruption allegations. Separately, Republican donor Eric Deters has filed a defamation lawsuit against her, arising from her denial of his allegation that she sought his help covering a $100,000 American Express balance in return for assistance with the Trump administration, according to TMZ.com.
TMZ.com reported that it reached out to Guilfoyle for comment and had not received a response as of publication.
