Longport Media radio stations hosting Thanksgiving donation-drive benefiting The Community FoodBank of New Jersey’s Southern Branch, November 2nd-25th
Linwood, NJ – South Jersey’s most recognizable radio voices are once again teaming up with The Community FoodBank of New Jersey to make sure every food-insecure person in South Jersey can have Thanksgiving dinner.
South Jersey’s biggest rock station, 103.7 WMGM Rocks, and its sister stations Kool 98.3 and News Talk 1400 and 92.3 WOND are proud to announce the 19th annual OPERATION HELP campaign, with much-needed food and monetary donations for the holidays being collected for local families in need. This year’s event is presented by Broadley’s Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning and features two days of live broadcasts at The Community FoodBank of New Jersey in EHT. For those who would rather donate money online, there is an Operation Help giving portal at https://give.cfbnj.org/campaign/operation-help-2026/c830977. There are also Operation Help collection bins for non-perishable food items at many area businesses.
103.7 WMGM host Sean Patrick says, “It’s so heartwarming to see the community pull together year after year.” Sean is staying on the air today (11/2) for as long as it takes him to bring in $10,370 in donations.
“The best thing any of us can do this holiday season is give the gift of food to our neighbors in need” explains Paul Kelly, President/General Manager of Longport Media.
“We’re amazed at the generosity of our listeners and local businesses alike who all tell us how great they feel when they give” explains News Talk 1400 and 92.3 WOND host AC Mike Lopez.
“Each dollar donated provides three nutritious meals” explains Kool 98.3’s David Allen Pratt. “It’s amazing how big of an impact each of us can make even with just a few dollars”.
Everyone is invited to drop off food and monetary donations in-person during the live radio broadcasts at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey’s EHT location November 10th and 11th.
Since 2009, Operation Help has raised more than $350,000 in cash donations and more than 100 tons of food, distributed by the FoodBank to families in need throughout South Jersey.
