Man Arrested for Urinating on Family at Baltimore Concert

A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault following an incident at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore where he allegedly urinated on a family attending a Morgan Wallen concert.

Maryland Transportation Authority Police confirmed that Jayson Reed was taken into custody in North Carolina after investigators pursued charges related to the July 18 incident. Authorities say Reed faces four counts of second-degree assault, public urination, and additional related offenses. He remains in custody in North Carolina awaiting extradition to Maryland.

The disturbing incident came to light when Troy Grevelding reported that he attended the concert with his wife, brother, and 8-year-old niece. According to Grevelding, a man positioned directly behind their group exposed himself and began urinating, spraying Grevelding, his family members, and other nearby concertgoers.

Security personnel removed the suspect from the stadium following the incident. However, the initial police response did not immediately result in charges.

Maryland Transportation Authority Police officers initially responded to reports of a physical altercation and escorted the suspect from the venue. The investigation expanded after officers learned about the alleged urination incident. Detectives subsequently located additional witnesses who had not been interviewed at the scene during the initial response.

Following consultation with the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Reed. The four second-degree assault charges likely reflect the number of victims allegedly affected by his actions, including the young child present at the concert.

The case highlights ongoing challenges venues face in managing large crowds at major entertainment events. M&T Bank Stadium, home to the Baltimore Ravens, regularly hosts concerts and sporting events drawing tens of thousands of attendees.

Second-degree assault charges in Maryland can carry significant penalties, including potential imprisonment. The extradition process will bring Reed back to Maryland to face the charges in the jurisdiction where the alleged crimes occurred.
