Pretty Ricky Member Faces Sexual Assault Lawsuit

A founding member of the R&B and hip-hop group Pretty Ricky is facing serious allegations in a lawsuit filed by an Arizona woman who claims she was sexually assaulted after meeting the performer through social media.

Alexis Dieng filed a complaint in August against Spectacular Smith, alleging sexual assault and battery stemming from an encounter that began with Instagram messages in October of last year, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.com.

The lawsuit alleges that Smith initiated contact with Dieng through Instagram, requesting restaurant recommendations. According to the complaint, Smith subsequently developed her trust and proposed an in-person meeting.

Court filings indicate that Smith initially provided Dieng with one meeting location but later changed the venue to a residence in Maricopa County. Dieng arrived at the location alone at approximately 10:30 PM the following day, according to the suit.

The complaint alleges that Smith initiated physical contact and engaged in sexual intercourse without Dieng's consent. She further claims he placed his hands on her neck and applied pressure, restricting her ability to breathe. The lawsuit also alleges Smith recorded all or part of the incident without her consent.

"We plan to seek justice for our client," Benjamin Taylor, an attorney representing Dieng, told TMZ.com.

Smith gained prominence as a founding member of Pretty Ricky, the Miami-based group that achieved commercial success with songs including "Grind With Me" and "Your Body." Following his music career, the Miami native transitioned into business, establishing the social media company Adwizar.

Representatives for Smith have not responded to requests for comment regarding the allegations.

The lawsuit represents the latest legal challenge for a member of the entertainment industry, highlighting ongoing concerns about conduct and accountability among public figures. The case is currently pending in court.
