Several former Real Housewives cast members have stepped forward to support Brandi Glanville as the reality television personality faces mounting medical bills while battling a mysterious facial condition that has persisted for more than three years.
A GoFundMe campaign launched earlier this week by Glanville's close friend Gina Rodriguez has attracted donations from multiple Bravo personalities, including former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars Kyle Richards and Camille Grammer. Richards contributed $500 to the fundraising effort, while Grammer donated $200, according to the campaign's donor list.
The 53-year-old former RHOBH cast member has already spent $113,000 attempting to treat her condition, which began after she filmed Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco in 2023. That season has never been broadcast due to ongoing litigation between cast member Caroline Manzo and Bravo over an alleged incident involving Glanville.
Doctors recently diagnosed Glanville with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and Mononucleosis, according to the reality star.
Grammer, 58, explained her decision to contribute despite not being particularly close to Glanville. "I remember when she sent me flowers when I had my hysterectomy for uterine cancer. I thought that was very sweet of her. I wanted to return the favor, and I feel bad for what she's going through," Grammer told TMZ.
Vicki Gunvalson, who appeared alongside Glanville on Ultimate Girls Trip, donated $500 to the campaign. Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Claudia Jordan contributed $100 to support her fellow reality television personality.
Jordan, 53, addressed her donation through her spokesperson Chris Giovanni. "Sometimes I make it anonymously; sometimes I let my name appear. I feel so bad for her and I can't imagine how helpless she may be feeling. Times are tough for a lot of people and I am sure it was difficult for her to put herself out there like this — knowing she would get a lot of criticism but I admire her bravery and hope she can get all the help she needs," Jordan told Us Weekly exclusively.
During the Friday, September 11, episode of her Unfiltered podcast, Glanville became emotional while discussing the financial burden her health crisis has created. She revealed that her medication costs $7,000 per week even with insurance coverage, and that creditors have been calling her regularly.
Glanville expressed reluctance about accepting help during the podcast appearance. She described feeling embarrassed about the fundraising campaign and admitted she does not like asking for assistance. Her podcast cohost James Maas defended the need for the GoFundMe, criticizing the medical system and noting that Glanville is typically generous with others despite her current financial difficulties.
Later in the podcast, Glanville acknowledged hitting rock bottom and expressed gratitude for Rodriguez's initiative in launching the fundraiser on her behalf, though she maintained feelings of embarrassment about the situation.
The fundraising campaign has generated more than $10,000 in contributions as of publication. The GoFundMe goal has been set at $28,000 to help cover Glanville's ongoing treatments, surgeries, and recovery expenses.
