Renée Zellweger has been dismissed from a $10 million lawsuit filed by Tracey Belland, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The dismissal, granted with prejudice, prevents Belland from refiling the claim against the Oscar-winning actress.
The lawsuit stemmed from a 2024 incident at a rental home in Laguna Beach, California, where Belland alleged she was injured. Belland claimed she stumbled and fell after stepping on a thin rug that concealed a hole, resulting in a knee injury. She had named both Zellweger and her boyfriend, Ant Anstead, as defendants.
Sources previously told TMZ that Zellweger had no involvement with the rental property, was not listed on the lease, and maintained her own residence nearby.
Anstead has denied all allegations that he was legally responsible for Belland's injuries. The case against him remains ongoing.
