Sarah Palin is asking her supporters to pray for her boyfriend, former NHL player Ron Duguay, as he continues treatment for stage IV colon cancer. The former Vice Presidential candidate shared photos from his hospital bedside on her Instagram story on Sunday, according to TMZ.com.
One image shows Palin holding Duguay's hand, with a caption reading, "Prayers for Ron Duguay so appreciated," TMZ.com reported. A second photo captures the couple looking at each other as Duguay lies in bed with a tube in his nose. The text over that image reads, "I know God can. I'm asking Him to. And even if the answer looks different, I know by now to still hold on to Him."
Duguay, who was diagnosed in 2024, is receiving care at City of Hope in Southern California. He publicly revealed his diagnosis in February. His daughter, Shay Thomas, also requested prayers earlier this month, sharing her own photo from her father's bedside.
Palin and Duguay have been together since 2022. The public appeal for prayers highlights the role of faith and family support during a serious illness, a theme that resonates with many communities facing similar health challenges.
