Sean Combs Released from Solitary Confinement at Fort Dix

Sean Combs, known professionally as Diddy, has been released from solitary confinement at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The music executive had been placed in the special housing unit following a physical confrontation with a fellow inmate at the facility. Sources with direct knowledge of the situation told TMZ.com that Combs has now been removed from the restrictive housing.

The altercation reportedly began when another inmate made disparaging remarks toward Combs. The two inmates engaged in a physical confrontation that involved pushing and exchanging punches before correctional staff intervened and separated them.

According to sources, Combs defended himself adequately during the encounter. Prison officials responded by immediately placing him in solitary confinement as a standard security measure following the incident.

Whether Combs will face additional disciplinary consequences as a result of the fight remains uncertain. The Federal Bureau of Prisons maintains a policy of not disclosing internal information or commenting on disciplinary matters involving specific inmates, citing privacy, safety, and security considerations.

Combs is currently scheduled for release from federal custody on February 20, 2028. The entertainment industry figure remains housed at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal correctional institution located in Burlington County, New Jersey.

The facility, which houses male inmates, is one of several federal prisons operated by the Bureau of Prisons in the state. Solitary confinement, formally known as special housing units, is typically used for inmates who pose security risks or require separation from the general population for disciplinary or protective reasons.
