Social media influencer Ash Trevino has been sentenced to two years of community supervision after pleading guilty to welfare fraud and healthcare fraud charges this week, avoiding additional jail time in a case that has drawn significant attention.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ.com, Texas prosecutors revealed extensive allegations about Trevino's conduct during the legal proceedings. The documents claim she engaged in relationships with approximately 50 to 75 inmates within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice over recent years. Prosecutors stated these individuals were incarcerated for serious violent offenses, including aggravated robbery and murder.
The court filings also criticized what prosecutors characterized as solicitation activities on TikTok, where they alleged Trevino requested monetary contributions from followers in exchange for disclosing health information about a dependent. Additionally, prosecutors took issue with her participation in sexually explicit content on social media platforms.
Trevino's legal troubles began when she was arrested in December 2025 on active warrants. After posting bond and securing her release, she was taken back into custody in March 2026 to face the welfare fraud and healthcare fraud charges.
As part of her sentence, Trevino must complete 120 hours of community service, attend an anti-theft class, and participate in financial counseling. The court also ordered her to pay $16,799.95 in restitution to the state of Texas.
The case highlights ongoing concerns about social media personalities who leverage their online platforms for financial gain while potentially engaging in fraudulent activities.
