Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs is contesting allegations that he arranged an attack on a man who claims a role in the theft of his Ferrari, according to court documents reviewed by TMZ.com.
In recently filed paperwork, Diggs asserted that Nigel King, the man pursuing a defamation case against him, has not produced any evidence showing that Diggs directed others to assault King on December 4, 2025. Diggs also rejected the contention that any remarks he made about King were defamatory, and he asked the court to dismiss several claims while ordering King to cover a portion of the legal costs Diggs has incurred to date.
King, who describes himself as a concierge serving wealthy clients including Diggs, says he was hired to manage travel and other logistics for the NFL player. Among those tasks, King states, was assisting with arrangements to transport Diggs's Ferrari from Miami to New York in July 2024. King maintains that unknown third parties took the vehicle, yet he contends Diggs placed the blame on him even though he was never charged, cited, or named as a suspect in the matter.
The lawsuit, which King filed against Diggs, Diggs's brother Darez Diggs, and other individuals, alleges that Stefon Diggs spread word among others that King bore responsibility for the 2024 Ferrari theft. King further claims that on December 4, 2025, associates of Diggs attacked him at Tootsie's Cabaret in Florida, an incident he believes was carried out at Diggs's instruction.
Separately, Diggs is facing another lawsuit in which a former male friend, Christopher Griffith, accuses him of sexual assault. Diggs has denied the accusations and asserted that Griffith fabricated his account after being caught attempting to take property. Griffith has denied all claims of wrongdoing.
