Steve-O has completed construction of an Olympic-length swimming pool at his Tennessee residence, incorporating several personal mementos into the concrete — including an adult novelty item that pays homage to his 'Jackass' franchise roots.
The 82-foot heated lap pool, built by Pool and Spa Depot, represents the performer's latest commitment to health and fitness. Steve-O told TMZ his biometric measurements now indicate he has achieved fitness levels 7,800 percent higher than those recorded in February. During the pool's first two days of operation, he swam more than 3 miles.
Before the concrete was poured, Steve-O embedded several items of personal significance into the pool's foundation. These include his handprints and signature, a 1-pound anvil, and a medallion commemorating 18 years of sobriety.
The most unconventional addition came at the suggestion of fellow 'Jackass' cast member Johnny Knoxville. According to Steve-O speaking to TMZ, Knoxville had commissioned custom adult novelty items for the cast featuring the likeness of director Jeff Tremaine. Steve-O wanted one permanently installed in the pool as a tribute to the franchise and the relationships it fostered.
When Steve-O discovered he had misplaced his item, he reached out to the 'Jackass' group chat requesting that someone send a replacement via overnight delivery before the concrete pour. Two items arrived by mail with sufficient time to be incorporated into the construction.
The new facility will enable Steve-O to maintain his training regimen throughout the year. Next month, he plans to compete in two triathlons within a single week, including his first Olympic-distance race.
The installation marks a significant investment in the performer's wellness journey, providing a professional-grade training venue at his private property. Olympic-length pools typically measure between 82 and 164 feet, making Steve-O's 82-foot installation suitable for serious athletic training.
