Streamer BenDaDonnn, whose legal name is Benius Beard, was arrested in Texas on Sunday and booked into Brazos County Jail on a charge of evading arrest or detention, according to TMZ.com. Video circulating online shows a police officer deploying a taser before taking him into custody.
The College Station Police Department told TMZ.com that officers were attempting to move people off the roadway outside a bar when they came upon a group that would not follow their instructions. Police said the commands were lawful and continued to be disregarded.
According to police accounts provided to TMZ.com, a man acting as BenDaDonnn's security guard struck an officer's hands away as the officer moved to detain the streamer. The department's public information officer said the officer then used the taser, described as a less-lethal tool, while BenDaDonnn was trying to flee, in an effort to gain compliance.
Police further alleged that the security guard shoved the officer as the officer worked to place BenDaDonnn under arrest, and both men were subsequently taken into custody. The individual police say identified himself as the security guard, Kenny Carter, was charged with Interference with Public Duties.
The arrest was first reported by TMZ.com on October 4, 2026, at 10:04 AM PDT. The incident has drawn attention online, with clips of the confrontation spreading across social media platforms.
