ATLANTIC CITY — Three Atlantic City casino resorts have earned national recognition after being named among the best casino destinations in the country in a new USA Today ranking.
During an appearance on WOND's AC Mike Lopez Show, Frank Morano, who represents New York City's 51st Council District, highlighted the latest USA Today rankings recognizing Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Ocean Casino Resort, and Resorts Casino Hotel among the nation's top casino properties.
Morano said the recognition reinforces Atlantic City's standing as one of the country's premier gaming destinations despite growing competition from casinos across the Northeast.
"It's great to see USA Today and any national publication, with all the gaming that's all over the country right now, still recognizing that Atlantic City plays a big role in what's going on in gaming in this country," Morano said.
The three casinos each offer distinctly different experiences for visitors.
Morano described Borgata as an industry powerhouse, while noting that Ocean Casino Resort and Resorts Casino Hotel each attract different types of guests and gamblers through their unique amenities and atmosphere.
The recognition comes as Atlantic City's casino industry continues facing increased competition from expanded gaming options in neighboring states, including New York and Pennsylvania.
Despite those challenges, Atlantic City's nine casino properties continue to attract millions of visitors annually and remain one of the region's largest economic engines through tourism, hospitality and entertainment.
