Todd Chrisley Moves to Shield Son's Crash Records

Todd Chrisley is seeking to block the disclosure of his son Grayson Chrisley's medical and drug testing records related to a 2022 car crash in Tennessee, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.com. The filing is part of an ongoing civil suit brought by Patrick Rykwalder, the man injured in the collision, who is suing Grayson, his parents Todd and Julie Chrisley, and his sister Savannah Chrisley.

Rykwalder contends that the Chrisley family is attempting to thwart his efforts to obtain the records, which he argues are necessary to investigate his claims. According to the documents, Todd Chrisley stated on his podcast in November 2022 that he went to the crash scene and accompanied Grayson to the hospital, where he requested that staff perform a toxicology test on his son. Rykwalder also notes that Grayson claimed to have suffered a concussion and seeks the medical records to verify that assertion.

The Chrisley family maintains that Rykwalder has no right to the records, asserting that Grayson has already admitted liability for the accident and that the records are not relevant to determining damages. As TMZ.com first reported, Grayson was driving a 2020 Ford 5150 pickup when he crashed into Rykwalder in Tennessee, weeks before his parents reported to prison. Rykwalder alleges the accident was caused by Grayson's inattention, a claim Grayson denies. The case remains ongoing.
