Todd Tucker Opens Up About Divorce From Kandi Burruss

Todd Tucker, the former husband of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum Kandi Burruss, has spoken publicly about the severe emotional struggles he faced following the end of their 11-year marriage. In an interview with Page Six, Tucker described the period as "dark" and "lonely," and disclosed that he reached a point where he stared at his gun.

Tucker, a TV and film producer, explained that after the couple separated, he lived in a large guesthouse adjacent to the home where Burruss and their four children resided. Despite the physical proximity, he felt isolated and his thoughts were consumed by the breakup. He told Page Six, "I spent a lot of time in my head, thinking, trying to figure out, 'What did I just do? What just happened? Did I lose my family?' ... I had nobody really to lean on."

The producer admitted that his despair led him to look at his gun, but he did not act on any impulse. He credited his family and children for helping him pull back, recognizing that his kids needed his full support during that difficult time.

Tucker and Burruss share two children: Ace, who is 10 years old, and Blaze, who is 6. In addition, each has an adult child from a previous relationship: Kaela Tucker and Riley Burruss.

According to Tucker, he has recently been in a better place, attending church and seeing a therapist as part of his efforts to rebuild his life. He also created a documentary about the split titled "Til Divorce Do Us Part," which he described as "very emotional."

In April 2026, Burruss launched her own one-woman show, "I Do. I Did. I'm Done," which presented her perspective on the divorce. The couple married in April 2014, separated in November 2025, and finalized their divorce in March.
