Travis Kelce Confirms New Dog With Taylor Swift

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has officially confirmed that he and wife Taylor Swift are now dog owners, revealing the news through an unexpected platform: a fashion campaign.

The 36-year-old professional athlete appears in a new Tommy Hilfiger advertising campaign alongside a fluffy white Samoyed that belongs to him and Swift. Vogue first published images from the campaign on Tuesday, September 1.

According to Vogue, the creative team at Hilfiger had discussed featuring a dog in the campaign when Kelce offered up his own pet for the role. The tight end expressed enthusiasm about his dog's performance in front of the camera.

"We figured, why not her? She crushed it and actually really fit into that Tommy aesthetic, too," Kelce told Vogue. "Those are some of my favorite shots."

While the "New Heights" podcast host did not disclose the Samoyed's name, he shared his affection for the newest member of the household. "She lights up my day," Kelce said in the interview.

Speculation about the couple's dog ownership began in July when Swift and Kelce were photographed arriving in Florida with a four-legged companion. The pair landed at President Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach on July 12, accompanied by what appeared to be their new pet.

The 36-year-old Grammy winner and Kelce married on July 3 in a celebrity-filled ceremony held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The wedding came after three years of dating.

The Samoyed joins Swift's existing menagerie of three cats: Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button. Swift has been a dedicated cat owner for years, and her felines have become familiar figures to her fanbase.

During an August 2025 appearance on the "New Heights" podcast, Swift discussed how she introduced her cats to her extended family, particularly the four daughters of Kelce's brother Jason Kelce. The singer recounted that Jason, 38, had previously told his daughters—Wyatt, 6, Ellliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 17 months—that cats were poisonous.

Swift described her strategy for changing the children's perception. "It was actually really a great challenge because as soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they weren't poisonous," she said during the podcast. "And there's no better way to prove that than to just hand them Benjamin, my ragdoll cat, who lets humans hold him like he's a baby."

The singer shared a particular fondness for watching Bennett interact with her cat Benjamin. "My favorite thing ever is when Bennie will come up to me and just go, 'I find Benjamin, I find him.' And she's just over there laying with him and petting him and holding him," Swift said on the podcast.

Swift emphasized the gentle nature of her cats around children. "The cats are so good with kids," she noted during the appearance. "They're just like, 'Meredith is here!' I'm like, 'And you know what? She didn't bite you at all, did she? And if she did bite you, she wouldn't be poisonous.' They're like, 'That's not what our dad said.'"
