MILLVILLE — Two people were killed in an early-morning shooting at a North High Street gas station Sunday, authorities said.
Millville police were called to the area of 815 N. High St. at about 3:40 a.m. Aug. 16 following a report of gunshots, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office. The address is home to Quick Fill - Gas & Food, a gas station and convenience store.
Officers found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
Authorities identified the victims as Ashley Brown, 32, of Millville, and Andy Steven Brazil, 32, of Vineland. Both were pronounced dead following the shooting.
The Millville Police Department and the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit are jointly investigating the double homicide.
Authorities have not released information about what may have led to the shooting, and no arrests had been announced as of Monday morning. Investigators also have not publicly identified a suspect.
The shooting comes less than two weeks after a separate fatal police-involved shooting in Millville. The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office is investigating the Aug. 6 shooting on Hazel Boulevard, which followed a lengthy police presence at a residence. That incident is not believed to be connected to Sunday’s double homicide.
Anyone with information about the North High Street shooting is asked to contact investigators at 856-506-4093.
