Vineland Teen, Mother Arrested After Stolen Dirt Bike Raid

The Vineland Police Department, working alongside the Cumberland County Tactical Response Team, executed a search warrant Thursday at a residence in the 1500 block of North Orchard Road. The operation came after an extensive investigation into eluding incidents that have troubled the City of Vineland for several months.

Inside the home, investigators discovered a 2021 Kawasaki dirt bike that had been reported stolen. More importantly, they found evidence connecting the motorcycle to the string of police pursuits that have endangered residents and frustrated law enforcement.

Police identified a 16-year-old boy as the operator of the dirt bike. He now faces multiple charges including eluding police, stolen property, and vehicle violations. His mother, 35-year-old Adriana Torres of Vineland, was also taken into custody and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and stolen property.

Both defendants were processed and released on summonses. They will appear in Cumberland County Superior Court in Bridgeton at a future date.
