Zach Bryan made a notable statement during his Friday night performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, appearing on stage in a shirt that read "Free Palestine," according to TMZ.com. Members of his band were also seen wearing shirts with the same message during the show, which is part of his "With Heaven On Tour."
The performance comes exactly one week after the same venue was at the center of a controversy involving Ed Sheeran and Macklemore. Sheeran had been scheduled to perform at Gillette Stadium last Friday and Saturday, but both concerts were called off due to severe weather conditions.
Before the cancellations, the shows had already drawn significant attention after Robert Kraft played a key role in having Macklemore removed from Sheeran's tour. The decision followed Macklemore's pro-Palestinian comments made during earlier performances on the tour.
During his set at MetLife Stadium, Macklemore shouted "Free Palestine" and performed "Hind's Hall" while footage from Gaza was displayed behind him, according to TMZ.com.
Gillette Stadium's official schedule confirms that Bryan is set to perform at the venue on both Friday and Saturday night. Representatives for Kraft have been contacted for comment, but no response has been received as of Friday evening.
