Aaron Donald's Custody Dispute Reveals Dog Bite Concerns

Court documents in a custody dispute involving NFL star Aaron Donald have revealed private communications between the athlete and his former partner, Jaelynn Blakey, centered on concerns about a French bulldog that allegedly injured their children.

The text messages, obtained by TMZ, show Donald expressing alarm about the dog's continued presence in Blakey's residence. According to Donald's claims in the messages, the animal had bitten multiple individuals, including both of their children.

On June 26, 2026, Donald initiated a conversation asking whether the dog remained in the household. When Blakey responded with questions about the children's return schedule, Donald pressed the issue again before elaborating on his safety concerns.

"But on another note don't fill comfortable with kids in that house with that dog. It bit 3 people in the face and 2 of those people was Jaeda and AJ," Donald wrote in the messages obtained by TMZ.

Donald stated in the exchange that Blakey had previously agreed to remove the animal but that it kept reappearing. He suggested alternative arrangements for the dog and expressed confusion about the situation.

"There's multiple different places you can put the dog; it's just not stable having that dog around no kids because it got a history of bitting , it already happened multiple times," Donald wrote in the messages. He also alleged that Blakey had instructed their children not to inform him about the dog's presence.

Blakey responded to Donald's allegations in an email dated July 2, 2026, addressed to his legal representatives. She disputed his characterization of events and denied instructing the children to withhold information.

"Why would I tell my children that when the dog moves freely and talk with their father daily at my home, and he can see for himself?" Blakey wrote in the email obtained by TMZ. She challenged Donald to provide evidence supporting his claims and maintained that she had informed him when the dog was initially removed following the incident.

According to Blakey's email, she never agreed to permanently remove the animal from her home. She also stated that the children did not fear the dog.

The dispute was ultimately resolved before requiring judicial intervention. TMZ previously reported that Blakey agreed to remove the dog, preventing the matter from proceeding to a hearing before the judge.

The disclosed messages provide insight into the private disagreements between the former couple as they navigate custody arrangements and child safety concerns.
