Atlantic City Man Sentenced to 12 Years for Drug Distribution

A joint operation between federal and state law enforcement has resulted in significant prison time for an Atlantic City resident caught with multiple controlled substances earlier this year.

On Monday, June 22, 2026, Javar Bing, 45, of Atlantic City, was sentenced to an aggregate term of 12 years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to three drug distribution charges. The case demonstrates the ongoing collaboration between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the New Jersey State Police in combating drug trafficking in our community.

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, Bing faced charges at three different degrees: first-degree possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute, second-degree possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and third-degree possession of CDS with intent to distribute. The varying degrees reflect the different types and quantities of drugs involved in the case.

The Arrest

The case began on March 12, 2026, when members of the New Jersey State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Bing at the Atlantic City Rail Terminal.
