His mother, Samantha Busch, shared the milestone moment on Instagram Saturday afternoon, posting photographs from the track that showed Brexton in his bright green racing suit, standing with his team and waving a checkered flag in front of his car.

In her social media post, Samantha expressed the complex emotions surrounding her son's achievement. She noted feeling both immense pride and heartbreak for Brexton, praising his determination and resilience during an extraordinarily difficult period for the family. The eldest of Kyle and Samantha Busch's two children has continued pursuing his racing ambitions despite the devastating loss.

Kyle Busch died suddenly in May following a severe illness that required hospitalization. According to 911 audio obtained by TMZ Sports, the racing star was struggling to breathe, overheating, and coughing up blood before emergency medical personnel arrived. Authorities later determined that Busch succumbed to severe pneumonia that had progressed into sepsis. He was 41 years old.

The racing community responded with an outpouring of grief following the unexpected loss. Throughout May, numerous racing events featured tributes honoring the accomplished driver's legacy and contributions to the sport.

Earlier this month, Samantha revealed on social media that she witnessed two rainbows she believes were signs from her late husband.
