Las Vegas concertgoers witnessed an unexpected pairing on Saturday night when Celine Dion and Jack Black were seen rocking out together at a Metallica show, according to video obtained by TMZ.com.
The pop superstar, best known for her power ballads, demonstrated a clear affinity for heavy metal as she headbanged alongside Black during a performance of Metallica's classic "Enter Sandman." Footage captured Dion playing air guitar and showcasing her headbanging technique, while Black leaned back and mouthed the lyrics.
The two celebrities were later shown standing together, raising their hands overhead and clapping in rhythm during a guitar solo. Black concluded the moment by singing along and dancing.
The outing was not Dion's first time seeing the band recently. According to TMZ.com, she attended a Metallica concert just a few days earlier, with video showing her enthusiastically playing air guitar.
Metallica launched its "Life Burns Faster" residency at the Sphere on October 1. The band — composed of singer James Hetfield, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett, bassist Robert Trujillo and drummer Lars Ulrich — has 24 performances scheduled at the Las Vegas venue, with the run extending through March 13, 2027.
The residency represents a significant engagement for the Sphere, which has become a premier destination for large-scale concert productions in Las Vegas. Metallica's extended schedule through early 2027 underscores the venue's growing role in the city's entertainment landscape.
