Dean Norris, Wife Bridget Divorcing Amid Bankruptcy

Dean Norris, best known for his role on "Breaking Bad," and his wife of more than two decades, Bridget Norris, are in the midst of a divorce while simultaneously navigating significant financial troubles, according to court records reviewed by TMZ.com.

Bridget Norris filed the dissolution petition in Riverside County, California, in 2025, listing "irreconcilable differences" as the grounds, TMZ.com reported on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The filing records the couple's marriage date as October 27, 2001, and identifies January 15, 2025, as the date of separation.

The couple share five children. Two of them are minors: Zoe, 17, and Dean, 16. In her petition, Bridget Norris requested joint legal and physical custody of the children, sought spousal support, and asked the court to determine the parties' rights to property accumulated during the marriage.

Dean Norris responded to the divorce months after the initial filing, according to TMZ.com, though the case does not appear to have been finalized.

Separately, court records show the couple are in the middle of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding involving their restaurant, Swing Inn Cafe, in Temecula, California. The couple bought the business in 2022.

In the bankruptcy filings, Dean Norris stated that the restaurant's gross revenue fell by $1 million between 2024 and 2025, a decline that followed the fading of social media attention, according to TMZ.com. The company reported assets of roughly $100,000 to $500,000 against liabilities of between $1 million and $10 million.

Beyond Swing Inn Cafe, the couple also operate the Norris Performing Arts Center. Both have generally kept their personal lives private over the years, TMZ.com noted.

For Temecula residents, the bankruptcy case carries local weight: Swing Inn Cafe is a community business whose financial restructuring will play out in federal bankruptcy court, while the divorce proceeding continues in Riverside County Superior Court.
