Sean "Diddy" Combs was removed from federal custody at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey early Saturday morning to receive medical care for a head injury, TMZ reported Monday.
According to sources cited by TMZ, an ambulance departed the Fort Dix grounds at approximately 1 a.m. Saturday. The sources indicated the injury did not appear to be life-threatening, as Combs was conscious and speaking when he was returned to the prison before sunrise that same day. It remains unclear how the head injury occurred.
The incident marks the latest development in a turbulent period for Combs behind bars. He had previously been placed in the special housing unit amid allegations that he was receiving preferential treatment, including massages, alcohol, and access to a cellphone containing nude photographs. In July, he was involved in a physical altercation with another inmate.
Combs' scheduled release date has been extended by several weeks, moving from January 2028 to March 2028.
TMZ stated that the story is still developing and that further details may emerge.
