EHT Man Sentenced for Attempting to Create Child Sexual Abuse Material

MAYS LANDING, NJ - On Friday, July 31, 2026, Edward Roselle, 50, of Egg Harbor Township,

NJ, was sentenced by the Honorable Joseph Levin, J.S.C., on second-degree Attempting to

Create Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) charges to five years in New Jersey State Prison,

Megan’s Law sex offender registration, and Parole Supervision for Life following his release.

On August 14, 2025, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department received information from

Predator Poachers, an online “To Catch a Predator” type organization, about Edward Roselle

communicating with an individual he believed to be a 12-year-old girl on social media and

requesting her to create and send him sexual images of herself. Defendant was taken to the EHT

Police Department where he gave a confession.
